HIGHLY RECOMMEND this family owned and operated gourmet deli restaurant. The actual Joan is still running it! A delightful place with a wide variety of upscale prepared foods, salads, meats and excellent pastries to eat here or take home. Charming Nancy-Meyers-movie like atmosphere. Comfort food from their deli or bakery. They're justifiably famous for the Chinese chicken salad. I love their terragon chicken salad which can also be made into a sandwich. Egg salad is equally great. Make room for their delicious dessert, too. Their marketplace has gourmet food from around the globe, and cool gift items, too. Park around the block in the neighborhood (the bank used to let you pay to park but inexplicably ended that).

Got the Mac n cheese square block and ate it cold which was surprisingly nice because the temperature really let the cream cheese filling shine. Although the food was A+ fantasiiiic, my server Quentin was the real standout. The two of us shared a couple laughs and got to know each other even though it was a little busy. He really made time to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Definitely recomen this place to everyone. All the best, T :3

Finally got to try Joan's on Third over the weekend and see what the Chinese chicken salad was all about. We found parking in the neighborhood behind Ventura place, which was free and not a very for walk at all. There's so many good food places on this street! When we got to Joan's, it was busy with people eating inside and outside. We had ordered online and were just picking up our food to go, but I wish I was able to eat there and people watch. We went to the counter and asked about our online order, which was promptly given to us and we left. When we got to eat our food, all of our order was there and we each enjoyed what we ordered. I got the Chinese chicken salad, which was very simple but still very delicious and filling. My partner ordered the short rib sandwich was realllyyy good! It was a little on the heavier side, but the flavor was on point. Overall, we enjoyed our food and would go back for dine in for the ambiance!

Stopped by last minute for a quick late lunch. My husband and I split the breakfast burrito (of course) and the turkey club. First time trying the turkey club, it's honestly so simple, yet so good. The right bread, toast level, amount of mayo, and perfect option of turkey and bacon. Highly recommend trying!!
